IN THE FIRST MISSION INNOVATION AUSTRIA WEEK 2019,

Austrian and international leaders, ideas people and those configuring tomorrow’s energy solutions will all be brought together. New technologies, relevant project results and innovative solutions will be presented, and political and technological developments, trends and challenges will be discussed. In interactive event formats, the potentials of new Austrian technologies on world markets – together with the contribution they can make in order to achieve objectives at the level of climate and energy – will be trialled. The questions & issues surrounding the application of such solutions will be followed up in collaboration with industrial players and regional & municipal authorities.

TechDays (6. – 8. Mai, Stegersbach): new technologies and innovations, start-ups and scale-ups, new business models and regulation, implementation of innovative projects in the regions

Conference Days (9th and 10th May, Oberwart): global developments and trends, international keynote speeches, live technology demonstrations, Austrian model regions and much more.

On Friday, 10.05.2019, a meeting is organised for participants of the MI Innovation Challenges. The meeting will offer the ICs an opportunity to present themselves to Austrian stakeholders of industry and research and to create networks between the different ICs.

In addition, the ICs will have a meeting to prepare for the announcement of the first multilateral MI call for R&D projects in Vancouver.

The language of the presentations on 6th and 7th May will be English, on 8th, 9th, and 10th May German. Simultaneous translation will be available on Wednesday and Thursday.

Shuttles will be provided from all important transport hubs.

Program

The Network „Mission Innovation“

– which includes Austria – consists of 23 countries and the European Union. The goal of this international initiative is to work in collaboration with private investors to overcome climate change and to achieve clear progress in the development of clean energy technology sources. A crucial key to success, here, is to have close collaboration between the public sector and the private sector.
